Applications for SportPesa Tujiamini initiative close for Central region

The Tujiamini initiative a sports and talent initiative by leading online gaming firm SportPesa closed applications for Central region applicants on the 31st March.

Award winners of Central region which includes the counties of Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Nyeri, Nyandarua and Kiambu will be announced over the coming weeks.

With over 6000 applications flooding into the Tujiamini office during the first month, the competition for winning the Jiamini and Cheza Dimba categories has been hotly contested.

 

Bronze winners have started to be announced with some serious talents ranging from musicians, high jumpers, sprinters, podcasters, dancers, gymnasts, rugby, and football players being recognised for their diverse talents.

The Jiamini awards broken into three categories, see 80Bronze winners every month receive a cash payout of KSh10,000. The remaining silverand gold categories will be rewarded to Centrals most talented, withapplications coming in across a diverse range of talents and sports, fromsports businesses, gamers, footballers, music producers, journalists, hockeyand volleyball teams and even water sports and the Sagana River beingrepresented.

 

For the footballers, The Cheza Dimba applicants are being shortlisted to playoff in a one-day tournament set to take place on the 13thof April.  Teams lucky enough to be invited will compete to be crowned winner and receive the 3-year sponsorship package. All participating teams will be awarded playing kit, as Tujiamini continues SportPesa’s support for football at a grass-roots level.

Central applicants for Gold and Silver who missed out or want to submit a new application can do so, however they will have to wait for the nationwide round with winners to be announced in December. In the mean time, Bronze application’s are open Nationwide each and every month.


This month, sees Tujiamini focusing on Eastern and North Eastern region ofKenya, with applications closing 30thy April. The Tujiamini roadshow willtravel through the region starting with Machakos county on Thursday 4thof April.
