Tujiamini powered by SportPesa turns its focus on Eastern and Northern Regional Talents

Last week saw the closure of the Gold and Silver Jiamini awards for Kenya's Central region. The First month saw a staggering 6000 applications for Tujiamini, a sport and talent initiative by leading online gaming firm SportPesa Kenya. The Focus now shifts towards applicants from Eastern and North-Eastern region of Kenya.

The Eastern and North Eastern Region is made up of the following counties; Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Isiolo, Marsabit, Meru, Tharaka Nithi, Embu. While, North-eastern includes; Mandera, Wajir and Garissa. All applicants from these counties wanting to win the esteemed Cheza Dimba, Silver and Gold Jiamini Awards need to apply prior to April 30th.

 

Applicants have the opportunity to chose to apply for 3 Jiamini award categories. Each category has its own distinct prize package from KSh10,000 cash payment (Bronze) to products or services valued at KSh100,000 (Silver),to lastly the jackpot prize of Gold which give applicants the chance to win products or services valued at KSh500,000.

In addition to the 3 Jiamini awards is the prestigious Cheza Dimba award which sees shortlisted football sides playing in the regional leagues or below invited to playoff for a 3 year sponsorship package. Shortlisted applicants will be invited to a SportPesa Cheza Dimba Tournament to be held during May at a yet to be confirmed venue within the region. The winning side on the day will walk away with a 3 year sponsorship package, which includes home and away kit, plus KSH250,000 yearly.

Already the Kakamega Rockstars and Kiambu based Megastars have picked up the Cheza Dimba award, with their sponsorship package to kick in in the coming weeks. Football sides wanting to participate should submit an application online and send a video to the WhatsApp prompt at the end of the application. Applicants need to sell themselves and their talents as a club, with only the best applicants being shortlisted.

 

The Jiamini categories are open to all sportsmen and women as well as talents outside of sports, from musicians and dancers. Already Tujiamini has received a wide variety of applications with applicants showcasing there talents, from powerlifting to piano, karate to kayaking and Singing to swimming.
