Narok, 15th November 2025: Narok’s sides Maa FC and Maasai Starlets FC dominated the Tujiamini Cheza Dimba South Rift regional tournament, emerging as regional champions in the matches played on Saturday at William Ole Ntimama Stadium in Narok County.
In the men’s final, Maa FC silenced Zoo FC from Kericho with a narrow 1-0 win. The breakthrough came early after Ken Pungwa calmly slotted home a 7th minute penalty, a lead the hosts defended with grit to the final whistle.

In the women’s showdown, Maasai Starlets FC outclassed Gilgil’s NYC Starlets FC 2 - 0 to clinch the title. Susan Ngalwa opened the scoring in the 17th minute with a superb strike after slicing through the NYS Starlets’ backline, before Patricia Sukuri doubled the tally in the 30th minute, sealing the victory and sending NYS packing.

We came here with one mission, to win and ensure the title stays here and we achieved exactly that.The game had a lot of pressure, but we made sure to capitalize on the few chances we created. Earlier, Maa FC edged out Father Ntaiya FC 5 - 4 in a penalty shootout in the first semifinal, while Zoo FC booked their spot in the finals after defeating Namanga Rivers FC in the second semifinal.
As regional champions, Maa FC walked away with KES 750,000 over the next 3 years plus home and away kits, while their counterparts Maasai Starlets pocketed KES 50,000 one off prize that will support buying training equipment. The South Rift regional tournament featured eight teams, six men’s and two women’s, battling for top honours.
