Nairobi, Kenya – 1st October 2025: The Tujiamini, Cheza Dimba Nairobi Edition kicks off this Saturday, 4th October, from 8:00 a.m. at Dandora Stadium, showcasing top grassroots football talent in a high-energy community tournament. Powered by SportPesa’s, the event celebrates resilience, youth talent, and community spirit. Entry is free, and fans are invited to come out, cheer, and be part of a movement where football changes lives.
Grassroots teams from Dandora, Kayole, Mathare, Kibera, and Dagoretti will battle for top honours. The winning men’s team will take home KES 750,000, full kits, and three years of mentorship, while the winning women’s team will receive a KES 50,000 one-off prize.
Cheza Dimba has grown into Tujiamini’s flagship initiative to inspire young people to believe in themselves, showcase their talents, and uplift their communities. The Nairobi edition will feature the Bronze Kwa Ground giveaways to random talented people and small businesses. These awards celebrate changemakers in sport, arts, media, and enterprise, honouring individual excellence while strengthening community togetherness and lasting impact.
The day will blend football, music, and purpose: performances from Susumila and local artists will energize the crowd, while October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month brings free health education, screening, and resources for families.
Speaking ahead of the event, Deborah Maina, Public Relations and Advertising Executive, SportPesa, said:
“Cheza Dimba is more than a tournament; it’s proof that when communities believe in themselves, transformation follows. Through Tujiamini, we channel that belief into football, arts, business, and health, because real impact goes beyond the game.”
With Nairobi as host, this edition is expected to reach more people and deepen impact across the capital. The tournament has already toured Central, Western, North Rift, North Eastern, Eastern, and Coast regions. The next leg of the Tujiamini, Cheza Dimba tournament will be in Nyanza next month, continuing its mission of uniting communities through football and talent.
