The champions were handsomely rewarded, with Gombato Youth FC receiving KES 750,000 annually for three years, full home and away kits, and mentorship under the SportPesa Tujiamini programme, which develops and supports grassroots athletes. Arrow of Kajembe earned a KES 50,000 one-off prize in recognition of their outstanding performance.

Francisca Kilonzo, CEC for Sports and Talent Development in Kwale County, applauded SportPesa for its continued investment in youth empowerment.

“The SportPesa Tujiamini initiative will go a long way in nurturing talent in our county. We encourage more sponsors to join in supporting young people who aspire to take sports as a career. We thank SportPesa for coming back to provide this platform where our youth can showcase what they can do,” she said.

Arrow of Kajembe head coach, Joseph Oyoo, praised his young players for their dedication and growth through the Tujiamini Cheza Dimba platform.

“I have been with the team for two months and most of the girls are from Kajembe Secondary School. This tournament has been a valuable test of our progress and a motivation to keep building a stronger team for the future,” he said.

Migundini FC coach, John Kazungu, highlighted the value of SportPesa’s Tujiamini initiative for talent scouting.

“Despite being eliminated early, I identified promising players from other teams who could strengthen our County League side. This is a great initiative by SportPesa, and I hope it can be extended to Kilifi County as well,” he said.

The SportPesa Tujiamini Cheza Dimba Coast edition was more than a football tournament, it was a celebration of opportunity, mentorship, and community spirit. By combining sport and empowerment, SportPesa continues to use the Tujiamini platform to unlock potential, create pathways for youth development, and strengthen Kenya’s grassroots sporting ecosystem.
